Chinese New Year Gala in aid of Cancer Care West

The Irish Chinese Society Galway 爱尔兰戈尔韦爱中友好协会 has the pleasure to invite University College Cork’s Confucius Institute to perform at our Chinese New Year Gala 2017. The Chinese New Year Gala will be focused on performances by UCC – School of Asian Studies and Confucius Institute. Performances will include Chinese calligraphy, traditional paper cutting, Chinese dancing and Qigong demonstration. Shifu Niall O’Floinn from Chen Tai Chi Ireland will lead a Tai Chi Demonstration. Multi-award winning world fiddle player Brendan Larrissey will also perform with Irish dancers.
The Gala will also feature the traditional dragon & lion dance, martial arts, Chinese folk dance, singing from the local school choir and performance from Maoin Cheoil na Gaillimhe.

The event is free, family-friendly and open to the general public. We welcome donations for Cancer Care West.
